CYTOVS PROCESSING

This is a modified version of the CytOVS protocol, designed to provide an online, interactive tool for analyzing O-GlcNAcome datasets derived from mass spectrometry (MS) studies.

The CytOVS program categorizes the data into several groups based on HexNAc detection and subcellular localization. These include groups for top O-GlcNAc targets, O-GlcNAcylated proteins, extracellular HexNAc, unknown HexNAc locations, and entries with no HexNAc. Localization is fetched through the COMPARTMENTS database, with intracellular proteins identified in the cytosol, nucleus, or mitochondrion, and extracellular proteins in locations like the endoplasmic reticulum or plasma membrane. O-GlcNAcylated proteins that meet the specified PSM threshold are classified as Top O-GlcNAc targets.
Please note that subcellular localization information is sourced from COMPARTMENTS database and is therefore limited to Homo sapiens, Mus musculus, Rattus norvegicus, Drosophila melanogaster, Caenorhabditis elegans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Arabidopsis thaliana.
